Kim was a professional athlete from 2000 until 2008. She is the Belgian record holder in the 60m, 100m and 200m and won several medals in International Championships. Together with her 4 x100m team, she won the gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Kim works as a speech therapist in Brussels and is an ambassador for SOS Children’s Villages. Since last January she is the enthusiastic new meeting director of the Track and Field Diamond League meeting in Brussels, the Allianz Memorial Van Damme.
