2016 EFPM Fair Play Spirit Award

The Homeless World Cup is an annual football tournament organized by the Homeless World Cup organization, a social organization which advocates the end of homelessness through the sport of association football. The organization puts together an annual football tournament where teams of homeless people from each country compete. In line with the message “a ball can change lives", 77% of the men and women who were homeless because of a range of issues have turned around their lives thanks to street football programmes and participating in the Homeless World Cup.The first annual football tournament for homeless people took place in 2003 in Graz, Austria.
