2020 EFPM “VOX” AWARD UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE AIPS EUROPE

REMZI YILMAZ (TUR)

Remzi Yılmaz is a senior member of Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK), sport journalist and director of a Television news center, the manager of the Turkish Sports Agency, the only daily sports Agency of Turkey, and the general secretary of the Turkish National Olympic Committee Fair Play Commission. For many years he has been taking part in the promotion of ethical values in sport and every day life. The spreading of fair play ideas is the topic of his book titled Fair Play in Sports and Life, in which he described not only the history of the Fair Play Movement in Turkey but it also serves as a valuable book including interesting information about the International Fair Play Committee and the European Fair Play Movement. The most touching parts of the book are the stories, in which Fair Play Awards laureates tell their own experiences and explain why fair play and honesty are essential aspects to life. The book was distributed to the students of sports faculties and to universities, participants of the famous Fair Play Caravan, organized by the TMOK Fair Play Commission.
