Avni Küpeli (TUR) awarded with EFPM “Spirit of Fair Play” Award 2024

Avni Küpeli is known as the sportsman who promoted and introduced basketball in Turkey.

He was a basketball commentator for TRT (Turkish National Television) for 18 years. He was highly appreciated for introducing the Fair Play course at the Nişantaşı and İstinye Universities in Istanbul, where he has also held academic posts. Avni Küpeli was considered worthy of the country's Fair Play Special Award for his contribution to the promotion of Fair Play in Turkey. He currently works as a basketball writer for the Turkish Sports News Agency.
