Gergö Horváth (HUN) AWARDED WITH EFPM DIPLOMA OF RECOGNITION 2023

Amazing sportsmanship from the Hungarian fencer Gergő Horváth: in the semifinals of World University Games 2023 in Chengdu, China, a riposte by Samuel Jarry (FRA) clearly hit Horvath's mask but no light came on. Horvath acknowledged that he got hit but they couldn't recreate the problem. Horvath then decided to give Jarry a free touch, a gesture that everyone appreciated. Well done!!!

The award was presented to Gergö Horváth by Zsolt Csampa, President of the Hungarian Fencing Federation

Gergö finally defeated the French fencer 15:8 and won the silver medal.
