THE EUROPEAN FAIR PLAY DIPLOMA 2024 MADE UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE EUROPEAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEES presented to MUNICIPALITY OF MOLENBEEK-SAINT-JEAN (BEL)

In particular, the "Fair Play Schools" project. In November 2023 (and for the entire 2023/2024 school year), the municipality of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean launched an innovative initiative: the Fair Play School. This new initiative, inspired and supported by the Collège Communal, aims to immerse all pupils and educational teams in the 17 primary schools of the commune in a holistic Fair Play experience. This unique initiative encourages children to develop a sense of fairness, respect and camaraderie from an early age. Teachers organise fun and educational workshops to teach the values of Fair Play through sports, games and classroom activities. These teaching teams play a vital role in the success of the project by embodying the principles of Fair Play within the school. They are role models for the children, guiding them in respecting the rules and accepting diversity. This is a great first step in creating a school environment where Fair Play is not only encouraged but also celebrated as a fundamental value for children's personal and social development.
