ARIPINAR: "THE WAY TO PROMOTE FAIR PLAY IS THROUGH CARTOONS AND PHOTOGRAPHY"

TMOK Fair Play Commission President Erdoğan Arıpınar commented on the contribution of the competition to Turkish and global Fair Play: "Since the beginning of human civilization, people have tried to express their emotions through various means. In modern times, two prominent methods have emerged: cartoons and photography. A cartoon is not time-dependent; it is conceived, detailed, and then illustrated. Since it is not a dynamic medium, its meaning remains clear once completed. Photography, however, is bound to moments. The person behind the camera captures an image that speaks. For this reason, we chose these two arts as the easiest way to communicate Fair Play to society. Both in cartoons and photography, Fair Play is fully expressed, fully felt, and fully conveyed. The TMOK Fair Play Commission is the founder and organizer of competitions bearing the name 'World' in both fields."
